When a holiday reservation is confirmed, it is deemed that guests have agreed to the following terms and conditions.

Extenuating Circumstances Cancellation Policy

If we are prevented from fulfilling a booking due to UK government restrictions or a lockdown here, we will provide guests with a full refund or a credit note for a future booking (subject to availability), at guests’ option. If guests decide to cancel a booking fewer than six weeks before arrival, then the normal booking conditions laid out below apply (this means that if we are able to re-let the lodge, we will provide a refund minus the 10% deposit amount). If guests cancel more than six weeks before arrival, then only the 10% deposit will be forfeited.

We advise all guests to purchase travel insurance, so that small businesses like ours do not have to bear the brunt of travel uncertainty.

Standard Terms and Conditions
  1. We require a 10% deposit to secure a booking. Deposits are non-refundable.
  2. The balance of payment should be paid in full at least 6 weeks prior to commencement of the booking. If full payment is not received by this date, we reserve the right to re-let the accommodation. Balance payments will be refunded only if we manage to re-let the property. We strongly recommend that guests take out holiday insurance to cover the cost of their holiday.
  3. We accept the following forms of payment: bank transfer (additional fees may apply to international transactions), cheque (payable to Great Glen Lodges), PayPal (online only), or debit or credit card via PayPal (online only).
  4. Short stays for a minimum of 3 nights may be available at the owners’ discretion.
  5. All holiday lets run from 16:00 check-in time to 10:00 check-out time unless specifically arranged or agreed otherwise. 22:00 is the latest check-in time, after which hour guests may be refused entry.
  6. The number of guests must never exceed the number that each lodge is designed to accommodate.
  7. If a lodge is reserved at a discount tariff for a specified number of guests and the total number of persons exceeds the agreed tariff, an additional fee of £15 per extra person, per night, up to maximum occupancy, will be charged. Please also see condition 6 above.
  8. Pets. Two well-behaved dogs are acceptable; however, all fouling must be removed and any damage caused by the pet paid for or rectified. Pets must be kept on a lead whilst on site and in the vicinity of the farm and must never be left unattended in the lodges. Pet fees are charged at £25.00 per pet, per booking or per week (whichever is shorter). The guest must inform Great Glen Lodges of pets when booking.
  9. Fires and Barbecues. We take fire safety seriously and are doing our best to deter wildfires and litter. Therefore, we do not allow open fires to be lit or firepits to be used on the property at any time for any reason (this includes on the beach, which is part of the property). We do provide simple barbecues that guests may use to cook outside and away from the lodges. Barbecues may be used in designated areas only. Guests are asked to bring their own charcoal.
  10. The lodge should be maintained in the same condition as when the holiday let commenced. The property and all fitments, furniture, utensils and equipment must be left in a clean and tidy condition at the conclusion of the holiday let. So that we can maintain our high standards, guests must report and pay for all damage and breakages before departure. Guests failing to comply will be charged extra fees after departure.
  11. Smoking: Smoking is not allowed inside any lodge. If guests smoke outside, they must collect and dispose of cigarette butts and all related materials.
  12. Electricity is included in the tariff, but to save waste guests should turn off any appliances that are not in use. We want our guests to enjoy a cosy stay but regret that in cases of excessive use, an extra fee will be charged after departure.
  13. Loch-side access. Great Glen Lodges will not be held liable for injury caused by negligent use of the path. Caution must be taken and children must be under adult supervision at all times.
