Fishing

Many of our guests enjoy angling for trout and pike from the beach at Great Glen Lodges. There is a mountain path down from our property directly to the shores of Loch Lochy. No permit or license is required to fish in Loch Lochy.

Loch Arkaig, Loch Garry and Lochan Tuik are just a few of the other well-known waters that are fished regularly by local anglers.

Generally, trout-fishing is free; however, some waters charge a small fee. For salmon-fishing on the River Oich or River Garry, permits must be arranged.

Please note that the trout and salmon fishing seasons run from 15th March to 5th October each year.
